WASLA provides professional development and networking opportunities to all school library staff, whether professional, para professional or clerical in government and non-government schools. We are based in Perth but serve library staff throughout Western Australia.

The International School Library Day dinner was held in Northbridge on 14 October 2009. The Teacher Librarian & Library Officer/Library Technician of the Year Awards were presented to Nareeda Tillman and Wendy Chapman during the evening.
