WA Teacher Librarian of the Year 2010
WASLA congratulates Jane Graham, the 2010 Australian Teacher Librarian of the Year for Western Australia. Jane is the Teacher Librarian at Wesley College, Perth, and in the past has served on both the ASLA National Conference Committee and the WASLA committee. Jane is a dedicated professional who leads by example, exhibiting impeccable work habits, reliability and a commitment to helping others. Jane is committed to the profession through sharing her wealth of knowledge. Commendations from her fellow staff members suggest Jane is:

“passionate about books, literature and its promotion … Her enthusiasm, supported by her extensive knowledge, energises even the most reluctant student and the most wearied staff member.”
David Gee, Headmaster, Wesley College

At the forefront of education, Jane is able to provide teachers and (students) alike with the most up to date information regarding research processes and the most engaging literature. She employs a variety of reading programs to sustain students’ interest and to cater for differing age groups. Jane is now in contention for the national Australian Teacher Librarian of the Year Award. We look forward to the result, announced later in the year.
