Overview:

Make space in your calendars on Friday 6 September 2019 to attend the Bodies of Information: Marketing and leadership the libraries and records way collaborative conference, to be held at the State Library of Western Australia.

This full day event is a chance to get together with your library and records colleagues to discuss and explore what we have in common and how we can all positively influence our changing profession through effective marketing and inspirational leadership.

Amongst the day’s program we have three inspiring keynote speakers. Curtin University’s Professor Julia Richardson will talk about having an intelligent career and taking responsibility of your work and life. Jeremy Chetty, co-founder of Student Edge and entrepreneur in residence at Murdoch LaunchPad, will discuss service as a brand. Amy Kapernick, from Tech Outsiders, will explore the art of failure.

Organised as a joint project by representatives from WASLA, ALIA Academic and Research Libraries (WA), ALIA Students and New Graduates, ALIAWest, RIMPA and Public Libraries of WA.

This low cost conference includes morning tea and lunch.
